CADMUS Bootcamp Course

Advanced Applied Threat Innovation & Research

A theory-focused, LMS-based bootcamp for cybersecurity researchers

Turn Threat Intelligence Into Foresight, Before the Next Campaign Lands

,  ,  ,

Reading about advanced persistent threats is not the same as analyzing them. CADMUS-BTCMP-19 is built on a single conviction: research-grade threat foresight, not reactive intelligence consumption, is what allows European organizations to anticipate adversary moves rather than merely respond to them.

The EU-funded CADMUS project (https://cadmus-project.eu/), aiming to address the cybersecurity expertise shortage in Europe, organizes a Bootcamp course that focuses on theoretical threat analysis, AI-driven attack vectors, and technology-risk forecasting. The course targets the Cybersecurity Researcher profile of the EU Cybersecurity Skills Framework (ECSF) and addresses competence gaps A.7 (Technology Trend Monitoring) and A.9 (Innovating) defined in CADMUS Deliverable D2.1.https://cadmus-project.eu/

Who can attend?

- Cybersecurity Analysts and Researchers: practitioners seeking to deepen threat intelligence foresight capabilities and translate research into innovation pilots.

- SOC Analysts in Transition: SOC professionals transitioning towards threat research, hunting, and innovation roles.

- IT Security Professionals: staff in SMEs, public institutions, and educational organizations responsible for emerging-threat assessment. - Postgraduate Students and R&D Specialists: researchers in cybersecurity, digital forensics, or related disciplines, and R&D specialists in cybersecurity product development.

Why participate?

By joining this Bootcamp, you will have the opportunity to:

Master APT Analysis and AI-Driven Attack Vectors

,

Classify APT campaigns by sophistication, persistence mechanisms, and strategic objectives using structured analytical frameworks (Diamond Model, ACH). Evaluate AI-driven malware capabilities, adversarial machine learning concepts, and LLM-augmented attack chains through case-study analysis (APT29, Lazarus Group, Sandworm).

    Build a Technology-Foresight Canvas

,

Apply horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend impact analysis. Construct a technology-foresight canvas that maps emerging threat vectors against organizational risk curves and innovation priorities, with quantified tech-risk indicators.

Map Threat Actor TTPs to MITRE ATT&CK

,

Conduct adversary behavioral profiling, perform deep TTP mapping under MITRE ATT&CK, and apply structured analytical techniques to produce research-grade threat assessments suitable for executive stakeholders.

Earn an ECSF-Aligned Completion Record

Skills are mapped to the EU Cybersecurity Skills Framework (ECSF) and to LOS 19 (Technology-Foresight & Innovation Management). Participants receive a completion record documenting the competencies practiced, suitable for CPD portfolios and training records.

How to participate?

Participation is free of charge. Places are available on a rolling basis.

Register your participation through the designated link by 29 April 2026.

Detailed information about the course will be sent after registration.

The course follows a fully asynchronous structure with a total duration of approximately 8 hours, organized in six self-paced modules of about 1.3 hours each, complemented by a capstone technology-foresight canvas and a final knowledge-check assessment delivered through the CADMUS LMS.

What to bring?

    Your curiosity

No prior threat-research project experience is required to participate.

No device needed beyond a standard browser

All required digital materials, case studies, and canvas templates are delivered through the CADMUS LMS.

    Optional preparation

A short pre-session baseline quiz is available. Completing it helps tailor the experience to the participant’s level.
